The Second Leg

As the second leg of 401Gives is upon us the "unmatched" fundraiser, is, for the second time- matched!

We are incredibly grateful for our devoted donors. It is through your generous donations that we continue for a fourth year to serve our community. So far we've reached 25% of our 2025 goal. Can you help us meet our first $1,000? The best way to get the most out of your donation is . . . waiting! Ugh, we know it's the worst part!

Join us at 4:01 p.m. on Wednesday April 2nd, to extend our giving to its highest potential. A $5 donation has the potential to become a $30 donation when the Rhode Island Foundation matches the first 30,000 at $25 a piece; Maximizing your generosity for the 600 plus nonprofits in Rhode Island hoping to make a difference in the everyday lives of the people around us.

We have equally big plans this year as we refine our First Period Program, extend child and Senior Christmas efforts, empower girls in our community, perform updates and upgrades on our little Free Library structures and provide overall support for those in need around us. Your donation, any size makes a huge difference.

Crystal, a North Providence High School Senior partnered with Red Lined's Founder, Erin Nascimento to create and execute a program, Cozy Conversations, which invited 12 local students to chat about the challenges they face with menstruation as a teenager.

We also want to take this moment to honor the late Luke Teeman. He lost his life to a quick aggressive battle with stomach cancer in October of 2024. Luke was an extraordinary soul, a community advocate, outreach coordinator for the local Walmart, friend to every mismatched end, and an overall incredible human. He was a founding member of the Red Lined board, a Babbo, Nonno, and friend to anyone who needed it, and rocked the most incredible Santa-worthy beard. We are honoring his memory today, as we join together in the spirit of giving. Today and every day.

Luke, dressed as one of Santa's Helpers, reads along side staff at the Wanskuk Library located at 233 Veazie St, Providence, RI 02904. A volunteer opportunity he held close to his heart.

We hope you'll join us for this 401Gives celebration, of life - love and... crucial fundraising!
